The demand for diverse skill sets and roles is ongoing in the ever-evolving world of tech. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be delivering a new career pathway in the Tech Adjacent Program — the Customer Success stream, designed to help job seekers land their next big role in tech.

Customer Success is one of the most in-demand tech roles today, which is why we, and our partner InceptionU, have expanded the Tech Adjacent program to include a new 20-week part-time and virtual OnRamp Customer Success stream, launching in February 2024. You can find the full press release here.

This new stream builds off the success of our fall Tech Adjacent cohort where we delivered our OnRamp Growth Marketing and Lean Sales bootcamps.🚀

What makes the Tech Adjacent program unique is the initial focus on essential skills development and career exploration before choosing a learning stream. This helps people find “best fit” roles that will offer stable and long-term employment. In the first cohort, many people who thought they were interested in coding came to realize they excelled in marketing and sales roles. So we’re excited to expand the program to Customer Success to unlock more talent for the Alberta tech industry.

Just like our previous cohorts, participants will have the chance to learn with real companies and real projects, under the guidance of industry experts who’ve held Customer Success roles inside some of Alberta’s most successful tech companies. Our past cohort participants absolutely loved these projects – not only did it provide them with work experience for their resumes, but also helped them build their professional networks.

And did we mention that this program is offered at no cost to Albertans with little to no tech experience? It’s tailored especially for those who are underrepresented in tech including youth, women, Indigenous peoples, newcomers, racialized communities, LGBTQ+, and persons with disabilities. All of this is thanks to funding through a Jobs Economy and Northern Development (JEND) grant from the Alberta government. (This just keeps getting better!) 👏

Applications are open now! The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, so don’t wait to get started on your next career.
